Wanted: Art Supplies
It has come to our attention that Ms. Parham, our wonderful Art Teacher, has been woefully short on art supplies over the past four years. She has been quietly supplementing art supplies out of her own funds.
Ms. Parham has provided a list of supplies she could use for her classroom per student by grade level. These would be used as community items. The prices below came from a school vendor but there may be better deals to be found such as purchasing in bulk as a class.
Anything you can do to help support our art program would be most appreciated.

International Night Postponed
At the PTSA meeting last week, members decided to postpone International Night until Feb/March of next year. We hope that doing so will allow more families to register for the event so it will be a night of enrichment for everyone. Stay tuned for more updates at the first of the year!!
Water Quality Update
Many of our fountains have been valved off because they tested above 10ppb for lead, which left our school with only two functioning fountains. In response, Principal Spivey requested that Building Services provide us with drinking water until our non-functioning fountains can be remediated. Our school now has three bottled water dispensers, all funded by Building Services.
PTA School of Excellence Survey
In our efforts to renew our designation as a National PTA School of Excellence, we are gathering Hoyer community feedback on areas on which we can focus and improve this year. If you have not completed a survey, please take a few minutes to help us out. The new deadline is Friday, November 10: http://bit.ly/2iM7lq6
